How to Download Instagram Photos and Reels (High Quality)

Instagram doesn't have a "Download" button for other people's posts. But sometimes you want to save a recipe, a workout video, or a meme for offline viewing.

For Reels and Videos

Since video files are large, screen recording often results in poor quality and UI clutter (like the heart icon and username) covering the video.

The Solution: Use an online downloader.

• Copy the link of the Reel (Tap the three dots > "Copy Link").
• Paste it into a secure downloader tool.
• Download the MP4 file.

This gives you the raw video file in its original quality, without watermarks or interface overlays.

For Photos

Taking a screenshot is the easiest way, but you lose resolution. If you need the high-res original (for a wallpaper, for example), a downloader tool is again the best option.
